The Dangerous Gentlemen features the harmonica styling’s and stage antics of Fast Eddie Martin; Tomb-stone Jones on vocals and bass, and Anderson resident who started the ‘70s locally famous beach music band August; and local blues enthusiast and guitarist Brian Philips, aka N.C. Slim.
You can hear influences of T Bone Walker, BB King, Louis Jordan and the Fabulous Thunderbirds in their playing. Members have recorded with Blues Legend Sweet Sammy Myers and have shared the stage and opened for
Anson Funderburgh, Mark Hummel, James Harman and Clarence Carter. They have played festivals and clubs all over the Carolinas for over 10 years and were two time finalists in the Charlotte Blues Society Competition at the famous Double Door Club. They will serve up heaping amounts of swing and old time rock and roll, so bring your dancing shoes.
